HOMECutting also known as self-mutilation is done today among many teens and even adults. The Bible states in Leviticus 19:28 ESV "You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord. "
Some cut themselves due to a stronghold in the mind. The stronghold being a lie believed that cutting is a way to relieve themselves from feelings of emptiness, hopelessness, rejection, pain, loss of a loved one, a feeling of self-control and the like. Others cut themselves at first to "try it" because others are doing it and it seems to be the thing to do without resorting to suicide. Again a lie is believed that cutting is a way to express ones negative and hurtful emotions or a place of comfort when lifes pressures seems to be overwhelming.
Cutting is nothing more than the manifestation of the flesh/sin nature when led by a fleshly mindset after a lie is believed by satan that circumstances, feelings, emotions or the like may never get better. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit can one be truly free from all of this.
Cutting is a mockery of the Blood of Jesus and what Jesus' body endured as He was scourged for each of us over 2,000 years ago. Satans deception is to have the unsuspecting individual believe his lie that it is the way to find relief when it is not. Only Jesus Christ is the Way to relief. Jesus is the very relief, very way of escape that all who cut themselves are looking for.
The bible states in Romans 8:5, "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh."
It is those who have not surrendered everything to the Lord that is being led by the flesh. The flesh is also known as the sin nature. The sin nature is in every human being that has ever lived, that do live and will ever live. It was the very fruit of Adam and Eves disobedience in the garden of Eden thousands of years ago (when time began) and has been a mess ever since.
God however did something that saved us from the evil the sin nature is when aroused and that is He sent His Son Jesus Christ in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin, He condemned sin in the flesh (Romans 8:3-4). What this means is once you give your entire life to Jesus in exchange for the life He has for you He brings you back to life by making you born again. He blesses you with His Holy Spirit who lives in your born again spirit to lead, guide, teach and comfort you and only by the power of the Holy Spirit can you walk and not give into the lies of satan or the lust of the flesh. Galations 5:16, "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
God is the only one who can deliver you or someone you know from the demonic oppression cutting is. God is the only One who can empower you not to give into believing the lies of satan and/or giving into the flesh/sin nature.
Let Jesus Christ take over. He will save you. Do it now.

Jesus I need you to rescue me from the urge of cutting myself.
Jesus, I need You. I am ready to surrender my entire life to You in exchange for the New Life You have for me. I don't know what that means but it has to be better than the Life I am living now. I give You my past, present and future. I am renouncing any other way to salvation. I renounce any other gods I worshipped and I am renouncing my way of doing things. I am accepting Your invitation to be Born Again, to have my name written in the Lamb's Book of Life. I want everything You Have for me. Deliver me from any addictions, strongholds, fears, shame and anything else that is not of you. Let me know how much You love me, what You have done for me and what life is really about. Let me not fall. Baptize me now in Your Love and with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. You will lead me from this day on. I am Yours. Amen."
